What is Sacrifice?

Sacrifice is divided into two types: obligatory and nafil. The obligatory sacrifice is the sacrifice that Muslims are obliged to slaughter if their financial situation is sufficient. Every eligible Muslim is required to sacrifice this sacrifice on Eid al-Adha. Nafil sacrifice is a non-wajib sacrifice. Nafil sacrifices are sacrificed in accordance with personal wishes. Nafil sacrifices are slaughtered for purposes such as fulfilling an offering, earning rewards and expressing gratitude. Nafil sacrifices are divided into types such as Shifa, Adak, Aqeeqah and Thanksgiving sacrifices.
