Kirve is a kind of circumcision tradition that originated as a folk tradition in Anatolia. Every circumcised child has someone who takes care of the child's income and expenses and holds his arm and leg during the circumcision. This is the person who has half the rights of the father over the child, and this person is called kirve. The duty of the kirve is to help with the economic expenses of the circumcised child, to organize the circumcision ceremony and to help the circumciser during the circumcision of the child and to ensure that it is done comfortably.
