Donation Cancellation and Refund Policies
This text sets forth the terms and conditions regarding the cancellation and refund of donations made through iladernegi.org. You must read this before completing your donation.
1. The Legal Nature of a Donation
The ILA Association is a civil society organization operating under the Fundraising Law No. 2860. Payments made through our website do not constitute the purchase of goods or services, but rather are donations made without expectation of consideration. Therefore, such payments do not constitute a consumer transaction within the meaning of the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Regulation on Distance Contracts, and no right of withdrawal arises.
However, in order to uphold the good faith of its donors, our Association honors requests for cancellations and refunds under the conditions specified below.
2. Circumstances Under Which Cancellations and Refunds Are Granted
In the following cases, your donation will be canceled—provided it has not yet been processed—and the amount will be refunded:
- Incorrect amount: A donation amount that was accidentally entered as too high or incorrectly.
- Duplicate transaction: The collection of the same donation more than once due to a technical error.
- Unauthorized card use: The use of a card without the cardholder's knowledge or consent.
- Donor’s withdrawal: A request made by the donor before the donation has been fulfilled.
The term “ifa” used in this text refers to the actual performance of the act of charity that is the subject of the donation: the slaughter of an animal for sacrifice, the distribution of food parcels, the digging of a well, or the provision of educational support to those in need.
3. Cases Where Returns Are Not Accepted
- If the aid that is the subject of the donation has already been provided, a refund cannot be issued. Once the sacrificial animal has been slaughtered, the aid has been delivered to those in need, or the project funds have been transferred to the field, it is not possible to reclaim the amount.
- If a donation receipt has been issued and the donation has been recorded in the relevant legal records, a refund may be issued only by a decision of the Board of Directors and by canceling the receipt.
4. How Do You Submit Your Request?
You may submit your cancellation or refund request within 7 (seven) days of the transaction date through the following channels:

Including the transaction date, amount, your first and last name, and the transaction reference number (if available) in your request will help speed up the process.
5. Return Process and Timeframe
- Your request will be reviewed within 3 (three) business days at the latest, and you will be notified of the outcome.
- Approved refunds are issued directly to the card used for the payment; refunds are not issued in cash or to a different account.
- The time it takes for the refund amount to appear in your card account may vary between 7 and 20 days, depending on your bank’s procedures. This timeframe is beyond our Association’s control.
- No fees or deductions will be charged to the donor as a result of the refund process.
6. Payment Security
Payments made by credit card are processed via 3D Secure authentication and through the bank’s secure payment page. Your card information is neither stored nor viewed on our Association’s servers.
7. Effective Date and Disputes
These terms and conditions are effective as of the date of publication and are subject to change. The terms in effect on the date your donation is made will apply to your transaction. In the event of any disputes, the laws of the Republic of Turkey shall apply, and the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul shall have jurisdiction.
