Islam is a religion that attaches great importance to education. More than 750 verses in the Holy Quran contain provisions on education and training. These provisions clearly demonstrate the importance and necessity of education. The aim of education in Islam is to raise a good person and a good Muslim. A good person is one who is knowledgeable, virtuous, just and helpful. A good Muslim is a person who fulfills Allah's commands and avoids His prohibitions.
