Nurşen Gündoğdu Water Well Opened in Pakistan
Water is the most basic necessity of life and a blessing for every living being. As the ILA Association, we have taken another step forward on our journey to deliver this blessing to places in need: The water well built in honor of Nurşen Gündoğdu has been completed in Pakistan’s Punjab province and opened for the use of the local community.
A New Water Source in Müzaffergarh
The well, which was dug in the Muzaffargarh district of Pakistan’s Punjab province, is operated by a hand pump. Thanks to the faucets and water troughs installed on either side of the pump, many people can access water at the same time.
The sign at the top of the well, adorned with white tiles, bears the name Nurşen Gündoğdu. Local residents will now be able to meet their daily water needs close to their homes, under cleaner and safer conditions.
Opening Day Began with Prayers
The well’s opening ceremony took place in an area decorated with colorful balloons, with local residents and children in attendance. Following the opening remarks, prayers were offered asking that this act of charity be accepted and that the well bring prosperity to the region.
When the first water flowed from the pump, the children gathered around the well. Some drank water from their cupped hands, some washed their faces, and others shared their joy by playing with balloons. The joy experienced at the well that day demonstrated once again what clean water means to a community.

A Well, a Continuous Act of Kindness
The gift of water is one of the finest examples of ongoing charity, from which it is hoped that the reward will continue uninterrupted. The Nurşen Gündoğdu Water Well will also serve as a means for this act of charity to continue for years to come, along with everyone who drinks from it.
We would like to thank Nurşen Gündoğdu, who made this beautiful project possible, and everyone who contributed to the construction of the well. May God accept it.
Let’s not forget: The joy of the children gathered around a well is the most beautiful reward for this act of charity.
